PLEASE READ!!! So this review is long over due, but if you can manage to get your work done by ANYONE else, even a mobile guy, you should. The owner of this shop is something else. So we had a rear end go out in December on one of our trucks and this shop was where we took it. Pretty expensive repair but we truckers are used to it. Anyway he got us our quote and pulled the truck in the shop. The rear end wasn't available in Wyoming so it had to be ordered. The very next day I got a call from my friend with a spare rear end who said I could have it for free! (So generous). So I call Thad the owner, being extremely respectful and nice, willing to pay a restock fee(even though it hadn't shipped yet) Explained that it would save us $5k+ and we could really us that kind of help at the moment. We were only a year in business and I unfortunately got a lemon truck that has almost put me under multiple times, so saving $5k+ is a big deal for us. Thad proceeded to react like an INSANE person. Immediately started cussing me out, and said I'm pulling your truck out into the snow filled yard and you can just deal with it. Keep in mind he already pulled out the old rear end as well. Everything fully exposed with me already in Denver at this point. I wasn't rude to this man at all. He just wanted to be vindictive and leave me out to dry. It made no sense to me. I was so confused. I had to basically beg him to not proceed that way. And after ridiculing me, hanging up one me once he agreed to finish the job. I kept my cool though the whole time he had the truck cause obviously now I can't trust him. Anyway after a couple hours had passed, I decided there was no way I could let this man continue the work after being treated that way. I just have to much self respect to allow that to happen and put money in his pocket. So before telling him to kick rocks, I organized someone else to do the repair. Oh and that spare rear end my buddy had wasn't the right one. So then I called Kenworth and just ordered it myself. Now I'm going to wrap this up and make sense of Thad's reaction. Turned out he was over charging me almost $2k on the part alone plus hourly and some shop materials. That's when it all made sense why he completely lost it. He was going to make more off the part than anything else on that job. So we showed up and took the truck back later that same day, but before he would give us the keys he wanted to be paid for taking the bad rear end out. I personally didn't want to give him a dime. Not because I'm a crook but I was just so mad for being treated that way I didn't feel he deserved anything. He immediately called the Sheriff. Acting like a lunatic the whole time. We went ahead and just paid him to be done with the experience. Funny thing is if he would have just been a decent human being I would have never called Kenworth and realized what he was up too. He would have gotten paid the outrageous amount he was charging us and we wouldn't have never thought twice about it. Thanks for teaching us a very valuable lesson on bad mechanics Thad. Took a while to get this review done but I've finally had a chance to breathe from trucking and I was sitting hear thinking about all the terrible things we've over come the last year and a half. You were in the top 3 on that list. If anyone is stuck in Douglas call ACT Mobile Truck And Trailer Repair in Casper. They came out and finished the job in 2 feet of snow and still saved me $1k from Thads original quote. Hope this message finds you well buddy
