“I had knee surg on Oct 5 by Dr Marra. I was somewhat nervous about the procedure. That staff is absolutely TOP NOTCH. The volunteer at the information desk was friendly and informative. The gal that registered me was also friendly, efficient and timely... no waiting on her! When I arrived at the out pt sign in desk I was greeted by Brandi. Very pleasant, friendly and informative. She escorted me to where I needed to go... no turn this way and turn that way.. SHE did her job well. Arriving to the holding area, I met Gail. What a gem she was! Right away, I started to feel more at ease. Taking care of me pre and post op were Crystal, Karen and Brandi. Each one of those ladies are wonderful, very compassionate, comforting, reassuring... they are REAL nurses. And then there was Dr Shaw.. he is a handful... and I mean that in a great way. He made me laugh, joked with me and made me feel very comfortable. All involved in my care are a true professional medical team. After my surg was over, I know I rambled some.. once again, Crystal was by my side reassuring me, and really caring for me. If my team wasn't right by my side, they were within earshot. The one on one feeling of care I received was priceless. This staff uses human touch, which in a situation that is scary means so much. OVMC is my choice for great medical care!!“
“Update. After getting a second appointment I really liked the staff and Dr. And we finally have answers about my son.My son gets car sick and after an hour drive they refused to see him because they can’t tell if he is actually sick. We waited 6 months for this autism evaluation appointment. They refused to take his temperature, because they don’t do that. But they said we could come in and use a room to change his clothes. Worst place I’ve been too. He has never been turned away for getting car sick. They also called me 3 times the previous Friday with 3 different appointment times, that were left on my voicemail.“
