WIC services are offered free to all who qualify. Eligibility is automatic with a Medical Card, or bring in a record (statements) of the last 30 days of your household income. The WIC staff at every site are happy to serve you. They offer helpful information on health and wellness, including feeding advice for infants, children and the family, prenatal and postpartum care for mothers and mothers to be, breastfeeding information and support, and help in maintaining a healthy weight, along with ways to avoid obesity and the risks associated with obesity. WIC can also refer you to other services and programs. WIC encourages an active lifestyle - our bodies are made to move - and eating a variety of healthy foods (think fresh or frozen veggies and fruits, whole grain cereal or breads, lean meats and low fat milk or dairy products).
