First, the history alone is fascinating. We were here the week of Thanksgiving and waited a little too late to get appointments but as luck would have it, my son and I got the last facial (me) and last massage of the day. A very relaxing 30 minutes in the hot bath that could accommodate four girlfriends. SO relaxing! Cool water to drink was provided because the water is quite warm. The biggest drawback was the changing area....an old bathroom with no where to hang or place clothes while changing. Otherwise, it is a recommended experience since the baths are the focal point of the area.

I’ve been to many hot springs mostly from California to Colorado and I’ve never felt more revitalized than after a long soak at the Old Roman Bath House. It’s a magnificent historic structure with one of the most relaxing and private environments you can imagine. And the staff? Just the sweetest most informative and attentive people you can imagine as well. Cannot recommend enough. A must visit if you are fortunate enough to visit Berkeley Springs one of West Virginia’s most little charming towns.
