I had a bad experience with my obstetric care here. 20 week ultrasound was a painful, bad experience as well. I saw multiple Dr's here and none were very good. My birth plan wishes were not respected and I was pressured into an elective induction because I was just a few days over my due date and hospital convince. There are rumors amongst staff that Dr Meyers has no patience for laboring women and takes them to c section when she is tired of waiting for them. My birth wishes were not respected I was administered way to much pitocin without proper monitoring. I was scared into compliance, they took advantage of my vulnerable state. Did not make it a beautiful experience and left me with a lot of birth trauma. Even though there was never a point where my baby was in serious danger, I was just made to feel he was so I would comply. Baby was stressed by being given to much pitocin in an attempt to get me to deliver on 1st shift. I was forced to push before my body was ready and forced to power push on my back for 2.5 hours. My OB referred to birth as a "process". It was a horrible experience which has lead to a PTSD diagnosis for me. I will likely use a midwife for any subsequent pregnancies because I no longer have trust for OBs.
