I thought I needed a lot of hair cut off to get rid of the damage, but Jen cut it dry so she could see the damage, and she didn’t need to cut off nearly as much as I thought she would. She then washed it and gave me a wonderful head massage, then she dried it with some nice product in it. It looked amazing and felt great! Worth driving from the East side of Madison. A bonus is that Jen has a sweet big dog, and if you want to pet him, he can hang out with you. But if you’re not interested in hanging out with him, he has a nice place to hang out off to the side. For me, I love hanging out with him, I love dogs! I will definitely go back!

I have been searching for a hair care professional that can not only work with my short, fine hair but one who is reasonably priced as well. The cut and color that I received from Jen at Essentials is absolutely perfect. Jen recommended a blend of my existing color with the new color. The result is really pretty. As for the cut itself...it is short and sassy, with several options for styling. I am so incredibly pleased! I have found my new stylist.

I enjoyed my haircut with Jen. She did a great job on my bob, was quick yet through, and funny. I also liked that she let me sit back and relax on my lunch break. It was much needed. Thanks Jen!
