I am ftm transgender, I had top surgery done at a different facility that I wasn't happy with so i decided to try elsewhere. I called FVPS hoping they would be able to help. To my surprise, they could, as I was unaware there was a different option other than my original facility. Dr. Janssen is very wonderful to work with. He is extremely talented and explains the process very well. Because of his work for the first time in my life, I am comfortable in my body. I had a growing fibroadenoma on my right breast that needed to removed. The breast surgeon wanted to make a noticeable incision to remove it. I went to Dr Janssen for a second opinion. I recently lost a lot of weight and unfortunately a lot of it in my breasts. My sundresses were not fitting correctly, I was buying sticky silicone inserts and taping my dresses to stay in place. I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. I chose Dr. Janssen for my reconstruction following mastectomy. I felt very comfortable from our very first meeting. He was very clear with the plan and answered all questions. I feel he went above and beyond with time spent with me.I was able to have Dr. Janssen present for my mastectomy to begin the process for reconstruction. I had a tissue expander placed 2 weeks later and completion a few months after that. I was set up for success from the very first day.
