This is a non profit organization for people who have mental illness. It doesn't matter if you have been struggling for years or a short period of time. Grand Avenue Club is the place that will always be there for you. It isn't a place where we have therapy groups but we do help each other out when there is a need. We work together to keep everyone healthy, doing things such as yoga, meditation, advocacy, and other more subtle ways. It's hard in the beginning because you come into a large building with a bunch of people that you don't know. But everyone is very friendly and helpful and you make friends quickly. A great place for people to come who have experienced mental illnesses, since becoming a member in 2007, it has helped me not isolate, meet new people and form friendships. It has helped many people stay out of the hospital.
