Kristen answers the phone and email. This alone puts them 4 stars above all the other residential window cleaners currently listed on YELP for Milwaukee and the surrounding area. I was a bit worried that I would have to over pay since I would not be able to get competing estimates but Kristen made me count all my windows (43) large and small and describe them. That was a lot of work for me because I had to research types of windows but in the process I met some interloping squirrels who were squatting in my attic. Goddamn lazy cats, I should fire all four of them. Anyway, a little serendipity there, a quick trip to Blains farm and Fleet and I was able to trap and deport the whole squirrel gang to a suburb that doesn't vote the way I do. In the meantime I got an estimate that was half the estimate I got 6 years ago when I last thought about having my windows cleaned. Half! So 6 years ago the sticker shock of that estimate led me to buy a two story ladder only to find out I've become afraid of heights so my windows have gone a decade without being cleaned. The ClearVu crew was scheduled within a week, I got a 7 hour window for their arrival and they were in 10 minutes earlier than the earliest projected time. This was very exciting because of the pandemic quarantine. They were my first guests since the plumber 4 months ago. One worker was in on his birthday, but I didn't know so I didn't get him a present. I feel a little bad about that. They did an excellent job. My house is so much brighter with all the windows sparkling clean. Well all but one, as one of my cats who can't be bothered to patrol for squirrels invading the attic, Scotty (Montgomery Scott) decided he needed to wipe his drool all over the window facing the park. The reason I have cats now instead of dogs is that cats usually don't drool. I'm not cleaning that drool spot now that I know I can pay someone to clean my windows, so that's just going to have to be like that until next year when I get ClearVu back. Maybe 6 months....the final bill? UNDER the estimate. Goddamn it is that a squirrel perchee outside my pristine crystal clear kitchen window looking in??? Gotta go.
