I spilled a cup of tea on my laptop that was storing a large amount of un-backed up data from my PhD research. While there was too much damage to the logic board for the Madison Geeks Group to repair the computer in house, they coordinated a repair with a third party that was able to fix it microchip by microchip. They took care of everything including communicating the problem with the third party to get a quote, packing and shipping the computer, and handling the payment to the third party. I was so pleased that they made this possible, as Apple and other repair shops in town wouldn't work around my need to maintain the integrity of my data in the process of a repair....read full review
Super impressed with these guys. The repair rates are reasonable and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my rig in to repair the liquid cooling fan. Mike analyzed my machine and besides replacing the cooling system also suggested additional improvements to make the rig faster. My rig has never run as good as it does now. I will always use Madison Geeks Group for all my computer repairs in future. Mike, you rock!
We had a scientific instrument running on an XP box which quit booting for unknown reasons beyond our expertise. The controlling software/hardware is not compatible with current operationg systems. In house IT refused to get involved which made a $150,000 brick out of the instrumentI contacted MGG rocket repair and delivered our computer to them explaining I had gotten it to boot before it died, but it only ran about 30 min and shut down to never boot again. We did confirm the harddrive was still operational. So Luke the Technician cloned our drive to a new solid state drive and was able to get another system box they had. It booted in XP.
