About Stanton Optical
Stanton Optical is a leading full-service optical retail center with a mission to provide easy and accessible eye care. Their onsite labs offer same-day service and online ordering with in-store pickup. Customers can schedule same-day eye exams or take a quick online vision test to update their prescription. With a wide selection of over 2,000 frames and friendly, knowledgeable staff, Stanton Optical is a one-stop shop for all eye care needs. However, some customers have reported longer wait times for new glasses and lenses, as well as a dimly-lit and less-than-inviting retail space. Overall, Stanton Optical is praised for its use of technology, affordable options, and generally positive customer service, though staffing levels may be a concern at times.
Connie was great, she held my fussy infant while I got my exam. The reason for the 4 star review is I had a difficult time working with the Stanton call center to redeem a promotion I had previously paid for. Possible bait and switch tactics. There are often times promotions, however you can’t use insurance with a promotion, typical. One way or another, you’re paying around the same price for contacts/glasses. With or without insurance.
I've visited this Stanton Optical several times which has definitely solidified what I like and don't like.LIKES: I love the eye exam ala video chat. I always found it weird when an Optometrist would be going through "Option 1 or 2," all up in my face breathing on me. I like their use of technology. From using a tablet to fill out patient information to the eye exam itself. Love it! Also, for the most part, Stanton has decent prices for glasses but they have increased quite a bit over the past few years. Inflation, am I right?DISLIKES: Stanton's space is kinda meh. It's dim and doesn't always feel inviting. The wait time for new glasses and lenses has also gotten longer....read full review
Waited 30 minutes after my appointment time and still staff didn’t know when a “virtual ophthalmologist” would be available to see me. I finally left (after someone who walked in after me and complained, was seen by the optometrist on site before me). In the past I have had timely service. I think understaffing of virtual ophthalmologists may be an issue now. Therefore, BE PREPARED TO WAIT, even if you have an appointment time.
