    NOT to be confused with Forest Hill Cemetery, which is a municipal cemetery on the other side of Speedway. The oldest burials here are at the far northeast of the cemetery, nearest West High School. Several of my ancestors are among them, including one who died in 1888. Generally speaking, they do a fair job with maintenance, but I have had a civil war veteran marker "disappear" even though I mounted it into concrete. Also seen students from the nearby high school attempting to vandalize a large granite cross, which as it happened, is for my great grandparents.     We arrived from Michigan at 4:30. The building where we wanted to go in was closed. There was a very kind manager that went out of his way to open the building for us! Awesome service!
