I heard about Agate from a friend earlier this year and decided to tryout the waxing service. I was insanely impressed by the cleanliness and procedure she used. No re-dipped sticks, no sticky counter where the wax pot sat and most importantly very little discomfort. Don’t get me wrong, waxing isn’t sunshine and roses but it was the quickest and least painful wax. In the short time I was there, I felt so comfortable, like Emmy was an old friend that I was catching up with. When I was done, Emmy let me pick her brain regarding getting a chemical peel. I’d been considering it for some time but was terrified to try it. She explained the process and possible results and asked me to let her know if I had any other questions, she’d be happy to answer them. No push to do it, no up-sell. I ended up scheduling a series of peels with the dermaplaning add-on, which did not disappoint! For me, the peels were painless. Just some light tingling, that went away pretty quickly afterwards. The results have been beyond what I could have hoped. My malasma & dark spots are substantially lighter, my skin tone is more even, my skin looks bright and my skin has never looked better. I was always self-conscious about my skin but didn’t realize it until I was proud of how it looked without make-up. When it came to product recommendations, I told her I had a contact that could get me a good price for some products, if she thought they were a good line, otherwise I’d purchase from her. She said the line I was going with was a great product, recommended I add one other thing, but told me it would likely be cheaper to buy through my contact. She could have told me anything because I’m rather clueless but she didn’t take advantage, she applauded my progress and routine and built me up. I would recommend anyone who wants any service to go see Emmy. It’s clean and hygienic and the service is out of this world! Thanks for the confidence boost!

I recommend Emmy to everybody. She’s very knowledgeable & I always leave with my skin feeling amazing! I’ve noticed a huge difference in the way my skin looks and feels since I’ve started seeing Emmy.
