Very conservative approach -- let's wait and see. Of course my cat was so irritated about being in the carrier, he couldn't even examine her. But over a 2-3 week period, she slowly got back to normal. Don't know what happened to her, just hope it doesn't happen again. I don't have anything negative or positive to say.
My wife and I are new dog owners and had our first vet visit ever today. Our Dog, Crimson, a pointer mix, is a rescue dog who has been a fairly anxious and timid dog when it comes to people and other animals (I mean, unless he's in the house and sees dogs on the other side of the glass, then it's like he feels invincible ;) ). Lark Derrig was very calm, level headed and laid back, which was perfect for our dog! There are cats that roam about in the lobby, so we came with a muzzle on, but by the time we had left, Lark had us take the muzzle off and let Crimson explore around the cats (I was very pleasantly surprised that he didn't go after the cats! They sniffed, there were no barks, no blood -- Bloodshed with Crimson around other pets until today was real fear I had). The building doesn't seem all that modern, but there was quite a collection of Garfield stuffed animals and merchandise that I couldn't help but smile about -- seemed pretty pet and child friendly. The equipment seemed up to date. She was able to address all of the concerns and questions we had, all of which lined up with the several dozen hours I've spent looking into various pet-parenting topics. I'm no expert on dogs, but was very comforted that her thoughts and views lined up with the reading/learning I've taken upon myself. Additionally, we had read vet visits would be rather pricey and our vet visit bill was well below the lowest amount I had read about on the internet. We brought all the medical papers we had received when picking Crimson up from a humane society down near Milwaukee. Originally we had been scheduled to have a stool test, but based on papers we had brought in and the consistency of the p**** she advised it was not necessary. There was a small town touch to this vet clinic, which I appreciated. I'll happily be taking Crimson back for future visits! Thank you to Derrig, Lark, Dvm and the Kewaunee Veterinary Clinic!
