We have 2 Labs, 8 years old, and 5 months old. We started going to Chas for training because our older had some behavior problems (pulling on walks, barking at people walking by the house, mostly). After getting our new puppy, we decided it was time to get serious about training.....starting off with the new puppy on the right foot, and getting the older to behave better. Well, it's been quite impressive what our dogs are like now compared to when we started, and we still have more lessons to go!Peaceful pull-free walks, following commands SO much better, counter surfing drastically reduced and almost gone! etc. Chas is truly an expert at training dogs, and when you put the work in, meaning you do EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS, you get results. Going to Dog's Best Friend has been the best decision we ever made with our dogs. Hands down, the BEST! Everything and every other method we've tried has been a waste of time. We 10000% recommend Chas if you are committed to seeing amazing behavior changes from your dog. It's hard work that takes patience and some time, but the results keep us motivated to keep going. Chas is seriously the best and worth your time and money.
Unbelievable experience. The one thing I can’t praise enough is the honestly and transparency. When picking a dog trainer it’s always nerve wracking not knowing what you’re getting yourself into or even being able to go over material that is new. Dogs Best Friend provides videos of your lessons, and others, that make it easy to see where you can improve as a dog owner. I also like the culture of this place as it focuses dog training away from blaming the dog, and highlights areas in which, we as owners, are lacking in terms of stability and clear training. Each lesson has a clear goal and it is applicable to issues one can expect in the outside world. I would 100% recommend coming here, especially for puppy training. The proof is in the pudding. Not to mention outside of training it is so reassuring to know we can contact Chas with any concerns or questions. Our puppy has been able to get over his food obsession and is actively working on being indifferent to other dogs. All things I thought would take years to undo. Chas has single-handedly given us the tools to help our baby, and we are forever grateful!
We brought our dog to Chaz after trying methods from other trainers for over a year that weren't working. In a matter of weeks our dog was already walking and listening so much better. Chaz was great at answering questions and helping find ways to address specific behavior issues. After taking his course we've been able to trust our dog in off leash situations and feel confident that we can continue to refine obedience skills with the tools we now have.
