John Runkel was recommended to me by a friend several years ago when I suddenly needed a new tax preparer when mine bailed and a student financial aid application deadline loomed. When I called John, he said, "Can you come in tomorrow?" I have stayed with him ever since because he keeps up with tax law, which changes constantly. He has done this kind of work forever. And he LIKES it. He is gentle and soft-spoken and so smart. He meets with his clients at the same time and same date every year, which is genius. At my meeting (yesterday!) John was very helpful in in breaking down my taxes and making sure to explain everything that I asked him. He was extremely knowledgeable & I will definitely be going back in the future for anything tax related.
