We had our wedding at Brown’s Farm in October and we could not have been happier! The grounds are gorgeous. Our ceremony was in the lawn with Lucky Jim Bluff as our backdrop, the fire pit was perfect for cocktail hour on a chillier day, and our first dance on the patio outside the barn under the stars and stringed lights was simply magical. Dinner in the barn was a great setup for our 40 person wedding and the perfect amount of rustic charm. Loved staying in the cabins on site too! Jeff and Alicia were so wonderful to work with. Eager to help and make our day so special. And they really have maintained a beautiful property perfect for intimate weddings! Thank you Browns!...read full review
I took my family for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Matt's Cabin was the only place around to accommodate more than 4 people. The cabin is very clean and well taken care of. It was fully stocked with wood. The fireplace heated the whole place. The kitchen is supplied with everything you could ever need including spices. There was snow on the ground and it was beautiful. So quiet and peaceful. The owners live next door and didn't even know they were there. I would highly recommend this place.
We have been staying here for a week each ski season for about ten years. My husband and I have been sharing Matt's Cabin with another couple and their two boys. The cabin has two bedrooms, a bunk room, a full bathroom, and a 3/4 bathroom. The living room is large, with two full-size couches and a recliner, plus a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is large and has just about everything you would need. The owners live next door, check in regularly, and have tons of information about activities and local news. Did I mention that this is one of the trailheads for the cross-country ski trail system? A short walk from the front door, and you're on the trail.
