When my husband and I decided to replace all our wall-to-wall carpet with hardwood, our excellent cabinet maker recommended Grant Richie and Home Hardwood Floors. We had new solid maple floors installed in the Living Room and two bedrooms and were very pleased throughout the whole process. First, Grant visited our home to check the floor support structure, figure quantity, and estimate cost. Oscar and his team did the installation, obviously taking pride in their work. They made sure the finish was perfect, even in difficult access areas (laying flat on their stomachs to sand under our raised stone hearth).
Grant responded quickly to our first contact. He was efficient in looking at the house and existing floor. We live out of town right now so he and Oscar and team did all the prep (removing carpet, moving furniture, etc) As the job evolved the bids were kept up to date. We are thrilled that this floor came out so beautiful. We still have not seen it in person but it really brightened the whole house up. Thank you so much!
