“We received a mailer from Matador Exteriors in May 2024, with a Google Maps picture of our home and an estimate for a roof replacement. A few days later I saw a message from Christie O’Dore on the Nextdoor website asking if anyone had received their mailer. At the time I wasn’t considering a new roof, but it was 20 years old and I knew it was just a matter of time , so I messaged Christie and told her that I would keep their mailer for future reference. I appreciated receiving the mailer rather than having someone knock on our door to try to sell us a roof because “they were in the neighborhood replacing so and so’s roof.” The estimate was detailed with two different options for shingles, gutters and downspouts. A few months later after some heavy rain I noticed some streaking that I had seen before I got the house painted last year. I called and Matt O’Dore came out, looked in the attic and the condition of our lower roof and pointed out how the edges of the shingles were starting to show fiberglass and how their should be more attic vents as well as roof vents for our bathroom fans. Matt provided an formal quote which was close to his estimate so I accepted the bid for new shingles, gutters, and downspouts with clean-out traps to prevent clogging downstream. We are very happy with the materials and workmanship, and how clean they left our yard when the work was completed. We also enjoyed working with Matt who came out to inspect the project and perform a final sweep for debris. We purchased the larger gutters and downspouts, the gutters are mounted with an internal bracket and screwed to the rafter tails, rather than large spikes which are visible on the outside of the gutters.“

“We’ve met with four roof contractors, and Rian at Legit is far and away the best. He was friendly, easy going, and just handed us his very reasonable quotes at the end with no pressure. He left an informative pamphlet, and was very up front and honest about what would work best for us. We haven’t moved forward yet, but we had another contractor come by the same day and they were almost impossible to remove from our house, droning on for over three hours. We told them multiple times that we were just collecting quotes and they wouldn’t take no for an answer. But Rian at Legit actually left me feeling happy and excited about roofing, of all things. From the details that Viktor had pointed out in the quoting phase, I was confident he would do a thorough job.

Project took an extra 3 weeks in total. The communication was strong throughout, and we indicated we weren't terribly time sensitive.

Overall, we're very pleased with the result. There were some items that we expected we'd incur extra charges for and were not. We found the quality of work to be excellent, and I'd confidently hire this group again.“
