When we rescued our dog, we looked for a trainer to help us work on her trauma, shyness, and unhealthy attachment to me - she would not leave my side. Normal training techniques I have worked with, with our other dogs, were not working due to all she has been through. Overall, I had a difficult time finding a trainer or a facility place that was reliable and professional enough to understand our specific needs. We had two places not show up and one canceled last minute. Great customer service and they really care about the pets entrusted to their care. I know when I drop my dog off, he is in a good place and will be safe and well cared for. The play time he gets with other dogs is good for him.
WOW! What a difference three weeks with Taylor and board & train at A Dogs Best Friend can make. Holy smokes. We are so happy and very proud of our dog's progress and have so much to thank Taylor for. Folks send their dogs to board and train programs for many reasons. For us, we wanted support honing previously learned skills, learning recall, and curbing a few unwanted behaviors such as excitedly lunging and jumping at people, fence fighting, and barking.
