We hired Wren and Willow because they had excellent reviews and a master craftsman (Hans) that showed passion for our historic 1910 waterfront lodge on Vashon. Before work started Hans quit and was replaced with an inexperienced/unmotivated young man who mostly sat in his car on his phone. We learned that Wren and Willow only had the ability to hire sub-contractors to complete work. Little to no work was self-performed by Wren and Willow. With many problems and lack of solutions/progress, one year after signing their contract we paid Wren and Willow and parted ways. Weeks later we learned Wren and Willow did not pay the roofer, fire sprinkler or gutter contractor. The contractors informed us they would lean our house. We were forced to push on Wren and Willow to pay their bills. While contractors were not being paid, the new Wren and Willow building was still moving forward. With a $268K contract and a negotiated final payment of $220k, little progress was made on our project and damage in the historic main lodge room is still visible today. Wren and Willow does have some great people (Luke \\u0026 Tom at least) but lacks leadership that cares and delivers to the customer's goals. Laureen (owner) was too busy to ever meet us and understand our project/goals. She would not even recognize us today if we saw her. We would not recommend Wren and Willow for a significant or complicated remodel. Maybe a simple remodel that can effectively subbed out. Today we have great contractors that care about and respect this historic project. Our progress has moved from flat to fast with excellent results. Unfortunately it took big financial and schedule loss to get where we are today. Update 5/6/21 Wren ans Willow came back in the fall of 2020 to help resolve issues. Laureen visited the site and brought their craftsman Rod. Laureen brought some excellent ideas and Rod is indeed a craftsman. Rod has been addressing the details with true craftsmanship and is a pleasure to work with.

Our new kitchen looks just awesome. It is not only beautiful and looks bigger, but it is much more accessible. I so enjoyed working with Hannah. She is such an amazing designer. I came to the project with many ideas of my own and she was able to incorporate them with up-to-date trends and design a space that fits with the current style of our home. The copper hood and cabinet hardware warm up the granite countertop with the light blue/gray cabinets, and the gray backsplash tile gives me the look I wanted. I was gently guided into accepting some additional changes that are much more functional, that I didn’t know I needed. I love the dishwasher in the corner and how...read full review
