“This was my second visit at UP Wellness Spa for an Colon Hydrotherapy with over a year or more between both visits.<br><br>My experience both times were great.<br><br>Delisha set the atmosphere with her warm, calming and welcoming personality and the candle scent of eucalyptus.<br>It's very clean as well.<br><br>Delisha was very attentive when needed, making sure I was always comfortable.<br><br>I had a couple of hiccups, and I never felt like I was a burden.<br><br>I felt the passion she has for what she does which really made a difference in me being able to fully relax.<br><br>She was full of knowledge and suggestions about what she does, but not over bearing.<br><br>This is definitely her Ministry!<br><br>Overall I would give my experience at UP Wellness Spa a 10 out of 10.<br><br>Thank you Delisha☺️“

“TDLR: Carly was great esthetician but went too hard on the extractions. I ended up getting a broken capillary in my nose and minor scarring. I should have spoken up when the extractions were too intense.<br><br>I booked Carly for a 90 minute facial. On my end, I was 20 minutes late after mixing up the time. Carly still took me and we did a 60 minute facial for the price of the 90 minute facial. Thought this was gracious of her given I was running quite late due to the mix up.<br><br>Once I arrived, Carly was very kind and we jumped into the facial. Unfortunately, when we went to extractions she mentionned it may be uncomfortable but these extractions hurt! Since I usually dont do extractions, I thought this was normal and didn’t speak up. I should have! I ended up going back to my regular esthetician afterwards even though she is in Seattle and she shared that I had some minor scarring and a broken capillary from the last time she saw me (month prior). My skin is sensitive so this may not happen to everyone, but I would caution that if the extractions are feeling too painful to speak up or for Carly to be a bit more gentle.“

Paid for hour massage. Good Swedish style massage. Asked for medium pressure. Next time will ask for slightly harder. Pleasant masseuse. Good ambience. “Andi was exceptional! I called multiple salons and no one wanted to touch my hair. I was nervous that I would never find anyone to brave my hair project, but I found Andi at Lux. She was honest and worked very hard for over 5 HOURS to give me what I wanted. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My hair went all the way down my back, I wanted to have bangs and bright blonde hair and she was able to make it happen for me. Andi is very professional and I appreciate how hard she worked for me. With well over 50 foils, precisely placed, trips back and forth for rinsing and more foiling, the blending of roots and toning, hair cutting and finding my bangs. Andi is truly the best of the best, you'll be lucky to have someone of her caliber working with you.“

“I was working on a project and aggravated an old shoulder injury. Oak Harbor Island Spa was close by so I stopped in and asked if a massage could loosen up my shoulder and ease some pain.I spoke with the Gina who was very helpful, courteous, and professional. During the massage she asked if I was ok and if she was applying to little or too much pressure on my shoulder area. After the massage I regained some of the movement of my shoulder with little pain, the next I was back to normal.I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great massage.I've returned twice and have been met with a cheerful reception and great massage.Thank you, Gina! “Oh my goodness, I went for my birthday after years of hearing about this place and being too shy to try it. I had an amazing foot massage and the staff was so kind, they really made me feel relaxed and beautiful! It has taken me years to build up the courage to go and be naked in front of other women, and now, I feel so liberated. I tried all of the rooms and the pools. I loved every single minute of my 3 hour tour and I will be back soon. Next time I will definitely try some of the other services, like the body scrub. “I've been a member for about a year now, and could not be happier. The Tacoma location is convenient with enough easy/free parking and while it's small, it's calm and welcoming. The front office staff are always lovely, communicative about any changes to schedules and super sweet. I get a massage and a facial once a month. I have yet to have anything but a great massage - but Bryan really is my favorite. He's knowledgeable and always cheerful - and can tailor the session to address specific issues with the skill of a physical therapist or do a great overall relaxation session. I also see Kayla for my facials. She's fantastic. Not only is she kind, gentle, and a good listener - she really knows her stuff. Every product she's recommended for me has been a winner and my skin care routine has totally changed - it's now less involved, cheaper overall, and more effective. I've also used the products the spa produces in-house and have been very impressed with the quality and price. At first the membership seemed like a big expense, but now it seems like the most cost-effective investment in my mental and physical well being I've made in recent years.“
