I've been receiving gentle chiropractic care using the metal activator for decades, so I know "excellent chiropractic care" when I get. Dr. Githens is gentle, patient, thorough, walks through what he will be doing -- and why -- with his patients in a respectful manner (not patronizing at all) and gives you easy-to-remember (1, 2, 3,) stretches to do back home. My body usually responses well to chiropractic care and this was definitely the case! Not only did he take all the time necessary for the 1st intake appointment, he even called me over the weekend to check in on how I was doing-- which docs do that anymore?? --knowing how acute I was when I came in. I've already referred him to a friend of mine. Definitely worth the prices of the ferry ticket and the time crossing the sound from Vashon Island to Tacoma to see him.

Dr Githens is very thorough and conscious. My husband and I have recently moved to the Tacoma area and are thrilled to have found Dr. Githens. My husband has had pain in his shoulder for 6 months from an accident, after 4 visits, he is pain free. Thank you Dr Githens!

Dr Githen"s genuinely cares about his patients he takes time to talk to you and really cares and listens to what you are explaining to him. He is a great Chiropractor every time I go in for a adjustment I feel so much better I sleep better to. If you are looking for a great Chiropractor I highly reccomend Dr Githens.
