I've been struggling to find a really good salon since I moved to Stanwood 4 years ago. I needed someone to listen to me when I was describing what I wanted and not just do what they wanted to do. I was so frustrated and my hair was causing me to have anxiety about it. I happened to be driving down the street and I saw a sign at the driveway entrance thanking Stanwood for voting for them as best salon and I immediately turned in to find out about it, and I'm so glad I did. The receptionist (I apologize, I forgot her name!) was very helpful and friendly and suggested Leslie and mentioned she'd had a cancellation for this afternoon and I booked it. I was very impressed! Leslie asked all the right questions, looked over the disaster that my hair was, gave me suggestions of what we could do to make it look it's best while it grew out, all the things I wanted and needed a stylist to do. I knew before she ever got finished that I'd finally found who I was looking for! She did an amazing job on my badly chopped hair and I was elated when she finished because it looked great. I've already made a follow up appointment and I highly recommend her. The salon is really lovely inside, a very welcoming and tranquil place. I have to say, that sign at the driveway definitely made me drop in and I'm so glad I did!

My luck was definitely with me today! I'd been struggling to find a stylist in my new home area, and after waiting until my hair was an utter disaster I came upon Milieu Salon and read great reviews for Leslie - one of the owners. I called today, imagining I'd have to book weeks ahead (turns out that's usually the case), but this day Leslie happened to have a cancellation that I could make. Lucky me! Leslie did a great job on my hair, and was a wealth of information and encouragement for me as a newcomer to the area besides. I don't think I've ever had someone ask such good questions and talk me through what my options were so clearly up front. Then she was fast and sure with her scizzors and gave pointers on how to maintain (or further improve) my look. (She gives a great scalp massage besides!) I left looking great and feeling like a princess - despite the grueling few days I've had. I want to add, what I was not paying for but is worth so much to me, is how she made me feel so welcomed. Leslie is a wonderful stylist, and, a generous person besides! Finally, the full salon experience - from the other staff, to the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the gorgeous natural lighting, and the products they used - was top notch. Kudos to the owners! I found my new salon! Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at the salon today with Danielle P! This was my first time getting my hair done at this salon. Danielle looked at my "inspiration" photos and went over a couple options with me and showed me some color swatches. I'm glad she showed me those because after seeing them I realized I didn't actually want red highlights like I originally thought ? Super happy with her suggestions so I stuck to blonde with more of a brown blend of highlight rather than the red. Danielle was very thorough with the foils/balayage while also working efficiently! The prices here are very comparable and in my opinion, affordable for the quality and experience of the stylists....read full review
