Stephen, the owner of Seltec, is a prime example of what hard work, determination, and outstanding work ethic, looks like.
We had Stephen install a Kohler 26kw generator in March and couldn't be happier with the final results. Stephen explained everything, from the selection of pipes used for the gas line, conduit for the electric lines, the updates he made in our control panel, and why he chose what he did. Along the way, Stephen also noticed a multiple "out of code" items that the previous homeowner fiddled with, and corrected them without charging extra . Upon inspection time by the city, the inspector signed off on everything, with flying colors.

Stephen fixed our 14 year old Kohler generator that had behaved oddly over the winter months with power outages. Sometimes it would start and sometimes not, but nothing predictable. Thankfully it chose the late winter before dying entirely. I had another company out to diagnose the problem, and they said it was probably the starter. Unfortunately, WEEKS went by with no word from the other company on a plan to get another starter, what to expect for a time line to fix it…no response at all to my weekly queries on the status of getting the generator fixed. We hired Stephen at Seltec to install a new Kohler generator. We replaced our old Generac unit, and Stephen figured out how to use the existing Generac transfer switch with the new Kohler, saving us thousands of dollars. None of the other dealers I got quotes from would do this… Instead, they all wanted to sell me a new switch.Not only did Stephen give us a very competitive price that beat all the others, but he is a master electrician and knows his stuff.
