I went to the walk-in for a swollen lymph node. The doctor said that swollen lymph nodes are caused by some sort of bacterial infection or virus in the body. He was not sure what the infection or virus was, so he gave me an antibiotic. Makes sense. This antibiotic had me in pain all day. The cramping was so sharp and sent aches down my back. I am used to antibiotics causing me nausea, but this was completely different. I called the clinic the next day and told a nurse that I would like for the doctor to prescribe me a different antibiotic because the pain was unbearable. The nurse relayed the information and the doctor's response was, "She's on the best antibiotic. There's another one she could try, but it might also hurt her stomach. Tell her to eat food with pills." I reiterated to the nurse that I cannot keep taking this antibiotic and her response was, "Ok, well is there anything else I can do for you?" I have never felt so dismissed before. It felt as though the doctor and nurse has said, "welp, suck it up". Overall, my experience at the clinic was terrible. The doctor saw me for maybe 2 minutes, the woman who took my blood did not say a word to me, and the nurses on the phone were incredibly short and not understanding or helpful at all. However, the receptionist ladies were lovely. Do not go to this clinic if you want to feel heard and cared for!
Just called to see if they were accepting walk in patients- receptionist said it depends on my insurance? Then said they aren't accepting new United healthcare patients. I said it sounds like I can't go in, and the lady said I can, I just need to bring my health insurance and my ID. Make up your mind? What if I had United Healthcare, or didn't have any insurance at all. Let me finish my questions before you interrupt me with answers to questions I didn't ask. Annoying. Won't be going here.
EXTREMELY INCOMPETENT! AVOID! Made an appointment for our child's 18 month check up. We showed up and the receptionist ran our insurance and claimed it was "inactive". We had just paid our insurance bill and I knew it was a mistake. After telling me I would have to pay out of pocket and printing out "proof" that it was inactive, I decided to reschedule to not deal with it. After confirming with my insurance company that my policy was in fact active, I read the "proof" that was provided to me and sure enough it said ACTIVE on the sheet. Lucky for us she said "we wouldn't be billed for our cancelled visit", unfortunately that doesn't get half of my wasted day back.
