I've never been here before, and I'm never coming back. Terrible experience. My usual viking store is gone. I needed to get a part for my singer sewing machine I ordered off of Amazon. It was missing the bobbin cover, so I brought it with me to the store. I should have just returned it to Amazon. When I asked if I could buy a bobbin cover from this store, the manager Marla accused me of stealing the machine since they apparently take the bobbin covers off their display machines. I explained that I bought the machine online, and it came missing the piece, but she started ignoring me and walked away. Very rude. I can see why the company is going out of business.

I walked into Joann’s seeking a sewing machine. I sat down with Diane and she walked me through 3 sewing machines. I was blown away by a) how far sewing machines have come since I purchased my last one 30 years ago. Mine is still working, but has zero bells and whistles. I bought it when I was a kid and have done many a project on it. But, I’m ready for a giant leap forward. I’m super excited by what my new machine can do, and I appreciate all of Diane’s help.

We played with lots of fabric scraps and trying different stitches. We were uninterrupted, but when people did come up, she took a few moments to either point them in the right direction, or ask... read full review
