About The Doctors Clinic - Ridgetop East
The Doctors Clinic - Ridgetop East is a healthcare provider that has received mixed reviews from its patients. While some have had positive experiences, others have expressed concerns about the quality of service and misdiagnosis. One patient was referred to the University Hospital in Seattle, where they were correctly diagnosed with kidney stones instead of a kidney tumor, which could have led to unnecessary complications. However, the patient was grateful for the referral, as it ultimately saved their life. Another patient, who visited the clinic without an appointment, was seen quickly and received good care, with the staff keeping them informed and providing a quick referral to specialist care. The patient was happy with the overall experience and the care they received. Patients who visited the clinic's Endocrinology department had a positive experience. The staff, including the receptionist Kim and the assistant Declan, were described as warm, accommodating, and professional. The Endocrinologist, Dr. Birnbaum, was praised for his kindness, thoroughness, and for making the patient's 96-year-old mother-in-law feel comfortable and important. While the clinic has received some criticism, such as issues with the temporary wheelchair ramps and the confusing entry and triage process, the staff were generally described as cordial and the patient felt they were treated as a paying customer rather than an imposition. Overall, the clinic seems to provide a mixed level of service, with some patients having positive experiences and others expressing concerns.
The first question asked at the front desk was "how long is the wait?" We were told there wasn't a wait. There were no people in the waiting room. We preceded to wait for 45 minutes and had to listen to 2 incredibly obnoxious people, having loud, personal conversations with the front desk staff, to include foul language. When people are sick or injured, this kind of inconsiderate behavior makes the waiting experience even worse. When called back to the room, waited another 30 minutes, but the staff I. The back was very professionals and helpful. One star is for the front staff and waiting area only.
This is not my favorite place for healthcare for myself. It's worked out well for my sister, but I don't seem to get the quality service that I would like when I show up. They gave me a great referral, though, to University Hospital in Seattle. And those folks at university hospital, it saved my life. The urologist at this Doctors Clinic told me I had a tumor on my kidney. However, the great doctors at University Hospital told me that I had kidney stones and I was able to have them removed under their expert care! There's a big difference between thinking you're going to have to have a kidney removed versus having kidney stones removed. That misdiagnosis could have caused me a lot of trouble. So the one thing i'm grateful for is that they did make the referral, because I thought they could not handle, would they believe to be a kidney tumor.
I went in on a Monday morning, with no appointment, and only had to wait a few minutes to be seen. I feel like I got good care; everyone involved kept me informed, and I got a quick referral to specialist care. The net result: I am healing up, and very happy with the care I received.
