Today I went to ABC driving school on Shoreline Aurora and it was my first ever experience doing the drive test before arriving I was notified several different times by text and email about my upcoming drive test just confirming I would be there on my set time and day which I really appreciated being a new mom I tend to forget things in correspondence I asked what the model of the vehicle I would be driving in so I could do some research on it and if they had seat belt extenders cuz I'm a larger woman the staff there went out of their way to order seat belt extenders and try them out on their vehicles Unfortunately they didn't work but I still took the chance at keeping my appointment with hopes that the seat belt would fit as I arrived and walked in I was greeted by the receptionist filled out some papers sat down and waited for my instructor I was early but my instructor had time so she came out introduced herself as Megan and then we proceeded to the vehicle as I got in the vehicle I tried the seat belt and it worked perfectly we adjusted everything mirrors seat temperature if you like cold air let Megan know ahead of time because she turned the heat on and I was sweating not just cuz I was nervous she likes cold air too she just doesn't want to freeze somebody. love it! Megan is amazing at explaining the rules of the road instructing communicating and giving positive words of encouragement and also positive and corrected professional constructive criticism. She really wants you to pass the test and does her absolute best to give you all of the tools you need to do so. She also tells you that you can talk and explain to yourself and walk yourself through steps as you are driving and doing a maneuver you may look crazy doing it but it definitely helps. If you're new to driving I surely advise you to pay the extra fee to use their car and pay for the time for practicing. It's well worth it definitely recommend Megan as an instructor her tips on parallel parking and backing around a corner which I had never done before even with the years that I had drove in illegally will forever be ingrained in my head I'm not going to share them because that's why they're so successful there so go and find out after the test was over and I found out I passed I was so excited. I thanked Megan and the staff there and want on my way. P.s. Megan has the good homemade snacks thank you!
