If you are lucky enough to get the chance to have Dr. Numrych as your pediatrician, thank your lucky stars and don't look back. He's my family's fourth pediatrician - and, by far, our longest running one (and I don't see this changing ever). My kids are complicated, and my standards are (unreasonably?) high. So I didn't settle until I found the right pediatrician for us. Dr. Numrych is knowledgeable, brilliant, ridiculously available (assuming you can get on his patient list), empathetic, and receptive. And, most exceptionally, not condescending. It seems such unicorn doctors really do exist.
November 2014
Dr. Thomas Numrych at Virginia Mason Pediatrics. They have a wonderful new office at Village (across from Eureka). He's careful, very good with children, engages them and makes them (and parents) feel very comfortable. I like that he treats them as actual people and our son really likes him. If I'm not mistaken, he was featured in Seattle Magazine as one of Seattle's best pediatricians. If you ever need an allergist, Dr. Mary Farrington is also in the same clinic - and we really appreciate her as well. It's as if someone handpicked the team of the best children's doctors and put them all in the same clinic.
