I had a herniated C6-C7 neck injury with radiating pain down my left arm this summer. I saw an acupuncturist per my PCP recommendation and within 4-6 weeks of multiple visits per week Sonia healed the referred pain. I can now sleep at night and resume exercises. She is kind, patient and accommodating.

For years, I was suffered from an uncommon illness whose symptoms were similar to whet has variously been called Long Covid, Fibromyalgia, Myalgic Encephalitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Conventional medicine had no cure or treatment, only symptomatic treatments with unpleasant side effects. I turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine. I went to number other acupuncturists, but they were getting frustrated with me, adding more needles and trying various tehniques (cupping, etc), but while I felt better after each treatment, the time the positive effects lasted grew shorter and shorter until it lasted only a matter of hours. Then an acupuncturist who had moved out of state referred me to Dr. Liu, who was head of the acupuncture program at Bastyr University (training most of the acupuncturists in this area!) and was a third--generation acupuncturist and MD in China. Instead of adding more needles, he wisely told me I was "too weak for needles" and treated me first with herbs and the energy he gets from being a Qigong practitioner. Then he started with only a few needles, gradually increasing the number, as I continued to take his custom herbal mixture every day. I started coming in three times a week, gradually working down to once a week, then once every two weeks as my health and strength improved to a point that I hadn't experienced in years. Eventually, I was back to about 80 percent of normal -- whereas before I was so weak I sometimes could not walk and so confused I had trouble writing my name. At that point, Dr. Liu said he could take me no further, and that I would have to learn Qigong to improve my health (as acupuncture can only do so much with deep-seated problems of long duration.) I did, my health became almost normal. But Dr. Liu was the one who put me back on the road to wellness.

Sonja is so accommodating and sweet. Knows exactly what to do. She has fixed my husband’s headaches and is now working on my back for the second time. Highly recommended. Easy and super trustworthy. Doesn’t feel like she is trying to sell anything. Love her
