    My dad had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. At first, we felt hopeless because it's stage 4 lung cancer that already spread to the brain and liver. However, we found a great team of healthcare providers, Dr. Siddhartha Devarakonda, Oncology Nurse Practitioner Katherine Hough and the whole teams of nurses, pharmacist, pharmacy technician and even receptionists at Swedish Cancer Institute Seattle have been super amazing! We learned that my dad can live with a great quality of life even with stage 4 lung cancer.     Dr. Tsai is an expert in her field! All around great staff. Don't know how they keep a cheerful disposition with all the negativity surrounding them. You can be rest assured that you will not be overlooked.EVERY employee from Janitor to Nurse to Doctors are super friendly, keeping you at ease at all times.The only negative thing is the distance we have to drive but, that's not on them.

    Dr. Gold may have a brusque, occasionally obscene, and direct sense of humor, but laughter is the best medicine and it comes from a heart of gold (pun intended). There's no other way to say it--this man had a large hand in saving my life. He delivered the awful news of my cancer in an abrupt, unfiltered and direct way that was hard to swallow at first, but immediately followed it with an aggressive, clearly articulated care plan.After my major cancer surgery, he visited me in person in the hospital twice (pre-COVID, obviously).
