Ryan has been cutting my hair for about a year now. His rates are affordable, his place is nice, and he is both friendly and professional! Occasionally there’s a barking dog or loud kids upstairs. But that’s no bother.

Just got my monthly haircut at Ry’s, and after a couple years of being a client, felt like it was time to add my review. Ry is a top-tier professional and craftsman in the hair business. When I came to his studio, I had just left another barber after a bad experience, so I was pretty wary of trying a new barber. Ry put my mind at ease with his attention to detail and nailing my haircut on the first try (and every visit since then). Ry put my mind at ease with his attention to detail and nailing my haircut on the first try (and every visit since then). I have straight, thick Japanese hair, and it's very easy to tell when an unskilled or undisciplined barber cuts my hair - with Ry it has been spot-on every time. Ry's Studio is a laidback, single chair, live-work shop that shares a space with his lovely family and two dogs. The vibe is friendly and comfortable, but not all up in your business like some barbershops. If you're used to chain barbershops or shops in the suburbs, he might seem a little expensive, but I shopped around for a while in this area and all the high end shops have comparable prices. If you need your hair to be on point and want to be confident in professional consistency, Ry is the guy. One tip: Because this is a live-work studio with dogs, he keeps his door locked. Just give a firm knock on the door and Ry will let you in.
