    Our dog Beau was suffering from five painful, split and broken nails in five weeks, with sedation, cone-wearing and much trauma. On the fifth nail our vets suggested the problem was SLO, an immune disease, and recommended several dermatologists, including Dr. Mel at DCA. I'm so glad they did. Dr. Mel explained SLO clearly and patiently, and started our dog on a safe and extremely effective medicine. Eight weeks later not a single broken nail; our dog is his happy, pain-free self again. Beau feels very comfortable with Dr. Mel and his kind, welcoming staff. We've been there twice and both times it was a reassuring experience--I feel we are in very capable hands.... read full review

    Update six months later! We came back for his regular injection and everything is good as usual!:) clean clinic, nice staff, calm place, good parking at the roof their building, my dog even took a nap while waiting haha

    Charlotte had her first appointment with @dermatologycenterforanimals, Dr. Mel! 10's across the board. Dr. Mel was on top of all the information from our veterinarian, @VIPatHomeVet - Dr. Q! Charlotte has been suffering from a skin condition that we have been trying to control with Dr. Q. We exhausted our possibilities with Dr. Q, and I drove by and saw @dermatologycenterforanimals; It was a sign! Dr. Mel is fantastic. He has a dry-erase board in the office and outlined food and atopy allergies. It will certainly stay in my brain since it was a visual and verbal overview and review.
