“ProForm just finished as General Contractor on our 2450 sq ft remodel + 650 sq ft addition. We had a great experience overall and would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family. We are thrilled with our home and the ways that Proform Builds worked with us, the architects, subcontractors (+the city, our neighbors) to make the project run smoothly and the design a reality.This was our first (and maybe only) big home project. It felt like the whole team at Proform Builds cared as much as we did about the success of our project and took a lot of pride in their craftsmanship. We were impressed with the quality of their work as well as all of the subcontractors they work with. I was very involved in making choices and following the progress but really appreciated how much I could count on Alex, our site supervisor, to be on top of all of the details, executing the plans well, educating me on the options, updating us on the schedule and any changes, listening and really understanding what we wanted. Some of the bids came in higher than we expected and Alex was great at helping us figure out what to prioritize now, what could be added later and what could be modified to be more efficient without losing the design. As little challenges popped up, the Proform team was great at working together to problem solve and come up with practical solutions that didn’t cause much delay. The project ran very smoothly and we were back in our home after 10 months as expected.We chose Proform partly because they had worked with our Architects (Studio AM) before and we wanted that relationship to go smoothly. We also toured a remodel they were working on and really appreciated Joey and Jasun’s approach and communication style. I really came to appreciate how many details go into ever piece of the project. We discovered some dry rot under a doorway, and Marco and his team were able inspect and repair promptly, with the best Construction Experience I've ever had.
Marco inspected onsite and provided detailed estimate. He and his crew started when they said they would, and communicated wonderfully with us at each step.
When work was completed both crew members showed us photos, explained what was done, and answered our questions. I didn't ask for any of this, they offered, and I loved it!

“It was a great experience working with J&M. They were extremely professional, considerate of both our timeline and budget, and just a pleasure to work with.

We engaged J&M early this year (Jan / Feb) and let them know that we were expecting a baby in Aug. They made sure to work backwards from the date to get our extensive bathroom build and remodel done. They gave us periodic updates to make sure we were within budget and flagged any concerns early to make sure we finished the project on time.

We are very happy with the work – and the overall project is high quality and looks great. They also had a great attention to detail, yet kept us under budget.

“When I bought my house I knew I wanted to remodel the kitchen, but the space was a bit odd and not very large so I had no idea how to do it. I had a couple people out to give me quotes and was feeling skeptical until Jessica and her team came out. They were extremely thorough and transparent throughout the process and worked with me to figure out what was most important. Jessica shared 3 design options with me and had a structural engineer came out so they could give me realistic quotes for taking out walls. I ended up taking down two walls, remodeling my kitchen, laundry, fireplace, and replacing all floors throughout the house. Everything turned out beautifully and I’m still enjoying my new kitchen a couple years later. The contractors that Jessica uses are great too (my dog excitedly waited for them to arrive every morning). Before you start the remodel you get a line by line quote for all the work and Jessica helps you pick out things like counters, cabinets, appliances, etc. she brought over a ton of samples too. “This review is coming from someone who had a very difficult home remodel not too long ago. There was multitude of items that I felt my previous contractor could have done differently which could have prevented the situation from getting too stressful. So when we discovered dry rot in our carport during a walkthrough with another contractor for some touch up painting; I was having flashbacks. This job was unique in that it required both a roofer and a carpenter because it involved both types of structure. I had more than one contractor explain to me how to fix the problem but then promptly reject the job because they did not have a roofer on staff. Trying to coordinate two completely separate contractors is like trying to corral cats; you can't. One of the big advantages of going with Richard in our case was he had a roofer on staff. His outfit is sort of a one stop shop. Richard was very responsive in his communication and we replaced our deteriorating wood and updated our roof shortly thereafter to prevent further damage. Richard came in at the estimate we agreed upon at the beginning. We hope we don't have to do any major repairs on our home but Mallory Contracting will definitely be one of the outfits we reach out to for an estimate should the need arise. My wife and I were satisfied.“

“I was blown away by how fantastic BUILT SQUARE was to work with on the major renovation of my tiny, awkward bathroom...so I hired them for a second, larger project! They then did a major renovation on my old kitchen and dining room. Fully included in design decisions and project goals.BUILT SQUARE clients are treated to regular, scheduled meetings with a design and materials expert and with the head of the construction team, who is a building and logistics expert. So great to have our team of three.They utilized their expertise to help me shape the design, explained the order of the process, taught me where to find finishes, provided progress updates. It's such a HUGE advantage to have experts show you visuals of the plans taking shape. Peter and Rick explained where we had degrees of freedom in design and where the existing infrastructure sets limits. They also were able to source hard-to-find pieces, like a teeny-tiny bathtub.2. Remodeling vision and expertise.When we looked at the space, envisioning what we could do, I was really impressed with the owner's understanding of what can and cannot be be changed structurally, his knowledge of how systems work in a house, how space can be made more efficient but also more beautiful. I learned a lot from Nathan in this process. He was able to translate my requests into potential plans and was able to ballpark the cost of each option so I could make decisions along the way.3. Outstanding quality of work.Each person did their piece of the puzzle with tremendous skill and care for the craft. They had the same desire for attention to detail that I do. Problem solving.Part of outstanding quality is knowing construction so well that you can figure out a way to create or fix things that are unusual. I had some requests that were funky and some tight or irregular spaces. “When it was time to replace our roof, I got estimates from 3 companies and my interactions with Elliot at Oasis Construction were always positive. He was able to coordinate an initial visit within a day and provided an estimate within 24 hours. We had a lot of back and forth to go over the details of the estimate/contract, but that was all on me. I had lots of questions and Elliot was always so patient and I never had to wait long for a response. I was also getting other quotes using different roofing materials from Owens Corning and he agreed to redo his estimate using those same materials so that I could do an apples to apples comparison.Once we had sorted out the details, and I was looking at 3 different estimates, Elliot's cost was the lowest of the three. He was also willing to provide a payment plan that allowed us to extend our payments out 2 months. All of this added up to what felt like a great working relationship.We coordinated a start date, but adjusted because of the weather, and when the crew showed up to begin work, they were extremely kind and respectful. The work took a little longer than expected, in part because our roof has a lot of different, adjoining angles and overhangs, but also because there were 2 guys on the crew. A neighbor recently had their roof done and there was a crew of 8 people who got the job done in 2 days. With 2 guys, it took 6 full days of work. We didn't mind that it took a few days, especially with how wonderful everything looks, now that the work is done. They did an amazing job, and even patched up some holes that squirrels had made in the soffits. The team was always kind and when I checked in with them, they always provided an update on how things were going.I wholeheartedly recommend Elliot and Oasis Construction for your roofing needs in West Seattle.
