“My son has been going to Tue Martial Arts for the last 4 years. He really enjoys the goal oriented approach and the sense of community that the institution creates. TMA camps are a great mix of physical, mental and emotional stimulations for kids that is needed during the summer months.“
“One of the best gyms I have trained at. The instructors are very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching and make the classes very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this gym to others looking for a great place to train!“
“Great martial arts community. Teachers have tons of experience and it shows in the way they conduct classes. Kids have fun while learning both martial arts and life skills.“
“I started training at WMA in 2005, and became an instructor in 2011. It changed my life in so many positive ways. The focus on community has helped me to build lifelong friendships that I cherish. This is a place where kids and adults learn how to nurture their strengths and tackle their challenges through martial arts so they can become the best version of themselves.“
“We have been sending our son since he was 3 years old and I can't recommend Master Kim highly enough. What really sets Master Kim apart is his incredible patience and ability to work with students of all skill levels. Beyond teaching martial arts, Master Kim is just a genuinely kind and supportive person. We are extremely satisfied with this studio and highly recommend Master Kim!“
“Both my kids have been training here for nearly 5 years, and we absolutely love our school and sanseis. Our kids have grown not only in physical strength but also in confidence and integrity. Martial art is the best way to have not only sport activity for kids, but also a life time hobby and a place to find friends. All sanseis know how to work with kids, how to support their physical and mental health . Sensei Jack, sensei Brandan and Sensei Sam are wonderful teachers.“
“This school is really nice! I had a lot of fun and gained experience over there! Master is just so great, really experienced and always teaches kids not only how to fight, but the philosophy thing. Defiantly recommend!“
“A True Gem for Learning Practical Self-Defense As someone who's trained in martial arts since the age of 6, I can confidently say that Conqueror is a true gem for passionate martial artists like myself and anyone who is interested in learning practical self-defense skills. While I've competed in various disciplines, including Sanda, wrestling, MMA, and Brazilian Jiujitsu, throughout my life, as I've gotten older, my training priorities have shifted from sport to self-defense. I went to several different schools in the area, but, ultimately, settled on Conqueror. To be honest, I was originally a little hesitant to try Hapkido since I'd heard criticisms that it isn't very effective. My initial skepticism and preconceived notions were dispelled during my first class. Master Ali teaches a unique self-defense system that integrates Hapkido with other arts, such as Brazilian Jiujitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Boxing, wrestling, and Judo, with an emphasis on real-world applications. As such, he has modified the traditional Hapkido techniques by combining them with Brazilian Jiujitsu and wrestling principles, making them undeniably effective. Right off the bat, I noticed how my existing skills were enhanced and complemented by his instruction. Master Ali and Master Roland are both exceptional. Frankly, I don't think other instructors in the area have even close to their level of experience in both martial arts and real self-defense situations. Their wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience makes every class engaging and enlightening. While they push us to improve our skills, they keep classes fun and enjoyable. They also foster a positive and respectful environment that encourages students to grow and excel, both on and off the mat. Whether you're a seasoned martial artist like me or someone looking to start their martial arts journey, I highly recommend Conqueror. The caliber of instructors, the integrated self-defense system, and the practicality of the training make it a one-of-a-kind experience. My skills have improved immensely, and I'm excited to continue my martial arts journey here. Don't miss out on this opportunity! Five stars all the way!“
“Master Gilbert is an incredible teacher and world class martial artist. Everyone in the school is welcoming and inviting. In addition to learning martial arts the students are also working on improving themselves mentally and all of the instructors really care about all of their students. I couldn't recommend her school enough for anyone that is looking for something for their child and the whole family.“
“Amazing and recommended!!! Master Park is wonderful with Kids of all ages. I have a KG , who is Master Park student since December 2023. Within this short period, he has improved focus, determination and discipline. The number of reviews here on google reviews does not showcase the great work that Master Park . If you are in the Bellevue area, I would highly suggest Master Park's TKD for all round development for your child.“
“There are many types of martial arts classes out there. But if you want to learn the martial arts especially from self-defense perspective, Enso center Hapkido should be the place to start. The environment is so friendly and welcoming. Everyone is having fun while learning. The mix age makes it all the more interesting experience for learning. And being non-profit they welcome everyone to the classes; all you need is dedication to learning. I have been sending my elementary school aged daughter here for past few months and I can see the difference it is making. Strongly recommend to all parents looking to teach martial arts is stress-free environment for their little ones.“
“Great place to learn Judo, they are friendly with classes for adults and kids, all levels are welcome and mats are great too.“
“Gracie Barra Kirkland provides an excellent environment for anyone's Jiu-Jitsu journey. The camaraderie and friendships formed here are invaluable. Attending their in-house no-gi tournament with my family was a blast, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and clean facilities. The genuine kindness of everyone at the gym, coupled with their commitment to students' growth, makes it a top recommendation for those in the Kirkland area. It's a place where you not only learn Jiu-Jitsu but also evolve into a better version of yourself.“
“We love this place. The teacher for the kids (Jeff) is super professional, very nice, and extremely patient. My daughter says he’s the best teacher she’s ever had in her life. They learn a lot more than just Aikido techniques, but also good life philosophies.“
“Bellevue Kendo is incredible. This is no "black belt mill" - you actually have to earn your advancement. It's run by Jeff Marsten (well known in Kendo) and his crew of senseis. If you want personal challenge and serious growth, or a place for your kids where they are driven and worked hard - this is it.What you get for the price is truly incredible - it must be subsidized by the city.“
“Contramestre Jaba is an amazing, dedicated and patient teacher. His classes are technical, to help learn proper form, high energy, an excellent workout, and lots of fun. Group has kids classes as well as adults. Group is not meeting Renton, but in north seattle. Love this place!Jena Peterson ND seattle“
“All kids love this place. The teachers are very kind and patient. Kids learn self-defense, discipline and much more.“
“My two kiddos just started the Tigers Basic program for 3 months. This program also comes with a uniform. My children are aged 5g& 7b. I was looking for an extracurricular activity to teach my kids about discipline, focus and hard work. We’ve only been attending for a few weeks, but I can already see the changes in my kids under the guidance of Levi. Not only are they enjoying learning martial arts, but their leader Levi, also gives the kids life lessons about controlling their body, mind and emotions. It’s been a joy to see my children take these lessons and apply both their life lessons and maneuvers at home.“
“I primarily train Muay Thai here, so I'll speak on that. It's a great training environment for beginners as well as competitive amateur fighters. Both coaches are absolute killers but also very nice and easy to get along with. The classes focus heavily on technique but provide a decent workout as well. More advanced people stay after class for open mat, which are mostly sparring, but you can also do bag work or work on specific drills. Egos do exist but are rare and not the norm here. Those with a lot of ego who go hard in sparring with no respect towards others eventually get it handed to them by more advanced fighters, so that balances things out and keep the training culture respectful. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try combat sports and to grow in the art of Muay Thai with a supportive group.“
“I can not say enough about how wonderful this experience has been for our 8 year old. Mindy is always so welcoming and gracious while Master Park is very, kind and patient. He makes sure that the students are attentive and that they execute their forms correctly. You can tell that they care about making sure the students succeed in Tae Kwon Do as well as in life!“
