Despite the negative reviews I decided to give him a call. Didn’t answer right away but his wife called back within the hour and I’m so glad she did. Our oven went out - only a few weeks before thanksgiving and hosting our family holiday party.He came very quickly, found the issue with our oven almost immediately, had parts on hand, and charged me less in total what the larger company was charging for diagnostic alone.He is very much an old school small town service style so if you don’t understand what that means or can’t handle, then just go to the large company.So appreciative of his service. Thank you!

My dryer stopped working while my husband was out of town and I tried all the trouble shooting ideas on Google. I called a big name place where they were going to charge $130 just to come out. I kept looking for a small business place and I came upon Affordable Appliance Repair. When Paul answered the phone he just says hello because I believe it’s his landline, so just ask for Paul. He is a nice guy and was able to come out the day I called. He even said he had all the parts on hand for my dryer…so happy to hear all of this!! I was dreading switching out a used gas stove for a failing one that was original to our house but thankfully Paul was local and reasonable in his price to change it from natural gas to propane.Earlier this year we got our furnace and fireplace serviced which was expensive going with companies in Puyallup and Olympia but in the future I will check to see if Affordable Appliance Repair can do the work instead....since they're in neighborhood here. If you are in Yelm, Rainier or Tenino I'd definitely call him first.
