“I have to start by relaying the story behind their name and hope that I don’t mess it up. I had been a little uncertain about a company with a quirky name with a store in a geodesic dome, so I had to ask. The company was started by some local military guys that swore like, well…sailors. They were doing installations and knew that would not be appropriate around clients so one of them saved their awkwardness when something went wrong by saying “sh..oomadoggie”. It became their brand.
Everyone that we spoke to there was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Randy came out to our house to get measurements for the estimate and spent a lot of time patiently going over the samples to explain advantages and disadvantages of the different carpet options. On the side, he also gave us some contacts for getting our hardwood floors refinished and they were also excellent.
The estimate was slightly below another estimate that we had, but the service was much better. Their installers did a great job and were very helpful. We had three floors with two sets of stairs to do. They also found a “surprise” in one area when they removed the old carpet and pad, which they took care of at no additional cost.“
