Sindi Pladsen, LMP, is a wonderfully skilled and intuitive masseuse. Ever had a massage where somehow the person seems to get right to your trouble spots and soothe your cares away? Sindi is at that level. I first came to town with a lot of physical tension and pain and luckily found Sindi. Port Townsend has a well regarded massage school in town and hence there are a lot of places to choose amongst. Sindi stands out and can be pretty booked up but it's worth giving her a call to see if she can fit you in. One particular technique that helped me tremendously was cupping. It is a very old technique in which your fascia is literally pulled away from the muscle and it can be intense. Sindi will go as lightly or as deeply as you want and need and within a short time she helped me clear up a lot of tension in my shoulders, back, chest, neck and especially on my face. It was nothing short of amazing and the effects have a lasting effect. I highly recommend getting on her schedule and staying there as long as you need to really untwist your tied up muscles. Also, she has her own studio and it is very peacefully decorated and located. Great ambience, great music and she uses wonderfully natural and hand mixed oils. This woman is a real treat and you will leave feeling blessed and relaxed.
