Free QiGong classes. Try one of Jillian Riffkin’s free QiGong classes, and you will be hooked! I am very new to QiGong, but I have known Jillian for year when I lived in the same area, and she treated me for PTSD with acupuncture and other modalities…she is truly a gifted healer. I know live in England, and truly struggled during the pandemic to find ways to exercise and take care of my mental health during lockdown. I get Jillian’s clever, poetic newsletters. She offers free QiGong classes on Tuesdays at 11am PST, so that makes it perfect for me in England to set my alarm for 7pm…you can take this class anywhere in the world! I have studied many other forms of wellness exercise, like Yoga and Pilates, but as my health deteriorated, doing something strenuous became impossible, so my mental health went downhill as I stayed on the couch, afraid to do anything due to physical pain. I’m very much a newbie to QiGong, so I will try to explain what is is and the benefits the best I can. It is very gentle exercise, and similar to Tai Chi in movement, but a bit faster. It helps release blocks, which I found were the things that were binding me to mystery and pain. QiGong helps with sleep, so I find I have a better nights rest after a class, and there are different moves or classes to help with different issues. With Jillian, she asks issues we want to work on, since the class is live and interactive. Re-aligning chakras is part of the benefits, and for me with my anxiety, depression and PTSD, I found I had blocks with my solar plexus…everyone is different. You can work on issues with digestion, headaches, aches and pains…the sky is the limit! Again, I am very new to this, so have been also doing YouTube classes of which Jillian has a few, along with other instructors. The class is small and intimate, and you can watch yourself and others on Zoom…I’m freezing in England while Jillian can be in snow in Washington state and others may be outside in sunny California! The class is free, but tips are greatly appreciated! So, with all obstacles removed, why not give Jillian’s QiGong class on Tuesday a try?
The serene and very comfortable atmosphere makes this a great place to do some healing. Jill is a natural healer. She puts her knowledgebase to work with her intuition and the results are amazing. She did acupuncture on me. I had a broken humerus with torn muscles, and I feel that her work has really helped the healing process. I highly recommend this acupuncturist! Thank you Jill!
