I was immediately impressed! I found a wounded kitty on the side of Steamboat Island Road who needed immediate help. It was almost 6pm on a Friday eve. I drove there and the door was locked, but I knocked anyway. Two very friendly techs answered the door. I explained the situation and they could see how upset I was. Even though they didn't have a vet there, they took the kitty in and told me they would make it comfortable until the vet could examine him in the morning. I was so appreciative of their professionalism and compassion!
Steamboat Animal Clinic and Dr. Capsey have taken care of my 2 Greyhounds since I moved here six years ago. My Greyhounds are ex racers and they require very special care and very knowledgeable vets as their blood chemistry and body types are different than any other dogs. I have 10 veterinary practices much closer to me, but I will drive the 40 minutes to get to Steamboat because of the staff and the expertise of these marvelous veterinarians.
Today our sweet Dog crossed the Rainbow Bridge. As hard as the day was..Dr Parker and Valerie and the beautiful Rainbow Bridge Room with doggie treats and the fireplace, sofas and bed for Foxy was exceptional..thank you for the compassion and dignity that was displayed to us and to her... Gratitude Gerry
