I was welcomed by a well kept parking area in the back. The blue flowers were very pretty. Ray seemed to have a pretty deep knowledge of yoga, from the one class I attended. He had modifications for many of poses, as he could see my muscles are rather tight and I could not move as far as other people in the class. The heat was at a nice level--warm but not hot. This is not a studio for you if you are looking for hot (sweating) yoga or "power" yoga of any type. But if you are looking for a caring instructor with a lot of knowledge and experience, try Oly Yoga.
Although I had tried a few other studios before, OlyYoga was where I fell in love with yoga. Sabrina and Ray are wonderful teachers who truly care about helping students develop and explore their practice. I particularly enjoyed Sabrina's vinyasa and restorative classes!
Oly Yoga is my favorite yoga studio in town! I like the other studios in town too, but Oly yoga really suits my personality and practice style. I've been going to Oly Yoga for about 4 years. In that time I have been going to Ray's classes. Ray has such an amazing, abundance of knowledge about yoga that he is able to incorporate different aspect of many different disciplines. I am also learning little nuggets of yogic wisdom that Ray drops in between instruction and endearing jokes. I like that he manages to throw variation into almost every class. This i perfect for me since it keeps me engaged. Ray is also very intuitive and every day I feel like the changes to the class were somehow cater exactly to my needs (I don't know how he does it)! The environment of the studio is very homey...probably because the studio is inside a house that was remodeled to be a studio. This make Oly yoga unique and welcoming. They really care about the practice of their students and the fact that they have a sliding scale shows that they just want to share the power of yoga and don't want finances to be a barrier to emotional and physical health. I owe the development of my practice to Oly yoga and Ray's guidance and support. I really can't say enough good things about my experience at Oly yoga. I would highly recommend it to anyone who like a unique setting to practice yoga and appreciates integrating different aspects of different yogic disciplines.
