We ended up using Vander Veen for two separate jobs, which I think shows how happy we were. The crew is very kind and easy to work with and the most valuable thing to us was the trust. We ended up using Vander Veen for two separate jobs, which I think shows how happy we were. The crew is very kind and easy to work with and the most valuable thing to us was the trust. We remodled our kitchen, installed a new bathroom and extended our master bedroom and then finished the basement of our home.

I think you can tell from all my other reviews that I'm a pretty generous grader. I'm a mostly 5-star review guy. I did a home remodel/addition with Vander Veen Construction. I won't lie to you, there were many issues. What was supposed to be a 4-5 month project ended up taking almost 8 months. Some of his subs were good to excellent imho, but some were bad. He's a small operation that may not have the same pull with subcontractors that bigger places might, and he's still doing multiple jobs simultaneously. So all of that contributes to delays.
