“We can't say enough great things about Coy...and Reliable Kennels! He has the "gift" of speaking bird dog.I am a very experienced upland hunter that has trained my own dogs in the past. I can tell you that my dogs are amazing hunters...and great family members. My business prevented me from having the time I knew I would need to train the newest addition to our hunting family. She is a little GSP named Scout that has a kind heart and very gentle disposition. In other words...a GREAT family dog. However, we are a hunting family...with upland being a priority. I knew I would need the hand of a gentle trainer to bring Scout along to greatness.Although Scout's mother is a hard-headed hunting machine...and her father a National Champion out of Kansas, we had a very, very "Happy-Hearted" dog that was extremely sensitive to any form of discipline...even if that was in the form of small verbal reprimands.Today...an AMAZING day...we picked-up our Scout from Coy after a five month journey of tender training. She is as much a hunting machine as her mother...with a better nose! I saw my "timid" dog hunt like a professional...and personally put eight 20 Gauge rounds near and around her without effect...other than turn up her sense of "birdyness".Yes...Scout will require a gentle 1st year out with her mother. However, Scout is now a full member of the hunting family she was born into!THANK YOU, COY!!! I will pass along your name to all those I meet along this quiet road of Upland Bird Dogs...and those that are fortunate enough to share their lives.Sincerely,Hal & Kelley Broek“
