As a fairly new dog owner I, I've received excellent routine and dental care from Dill Animal Hospital in Edgewood. Dr. Jackie T, Josh and the entire staff are compassionate and knowledgeable. I also appreciate that the price structure for routine visits is better than some area vets. Dill Animal Hospital is able to refer you to nearby 24-hr emergency pet hospitals in case your pet encounters a crisis outside of normal hours. As a pet owner, be prepared to know where your nearest 24-hr emergency pet hospital is located in case your pet has a weekend life or death emergency or in case Dill refers you there. Two other things I've come to appreciate about pet ownership, and which Dill Animal Hospital I'm sure will agree: 1. Make sure you have pet insurance; the cost of pet care (and 24-hr emergency pet care too) is a lot more than I realized. 2. Make sure your pet has a microchip which contains your phone number. My pet got out one time and twenty-one days later the microchip got her back to me !
