I recently hired Al to inspect some structural issues in my home. I was impressed with his prompt response to my initial inquiry and his ability to accommodate a same-day inspection.
Al demonstrated a strong understanding of engineering principles and clearly explained his findings during the inspection. He provided detailed information about the issues and offered recommendations for next steps.

What a nice and helpful guy! I called Al to see about hiring him to come out & take a look at our place for an independent assessment of our settling issues. He spent about 10 minutes with me on the telephone sharing his assessment of what I was describing. He CLEARLY knows his stuff and helped me understand what is happening and gave me some recommendations of places he likes that could help us. He said he gets no benefit in recommending these places and I believe him. I was so pleasantly surprised he freely he spoke with me. If I need work in the future in this area I will DEFINITELY hire Al.
Al Lind is the man to go to for assessing structural issues in your old home. After being bombarded with salesman from almost a dozen foundation repair companies each professing that their product would solve my concrete problems Al showed up and assessed my 1908 foundation. All of them were full of it. I have minor problems with the concrete floor cracking and some concrete padging and water management. I do not have any real issues and certainly not the $30,000 dollar issues that others were saying.
