“The programs at Lifestyle Medicine have transformed my life. I've spent the majority of my life severely overweight, and though I managed to lose a good portion of it by the time I hit my early 30's, I still wasn't moving my body enough. As a result, I had a lot of general soreness and a limited range of motion in my knees, shoulders, and lower back, which led me to seek help with one of Lifestyle Medicine's physical therapists (PT), Morgan, at their Renton location in May of 2023. Morgan was amazing from day one. She is a skilled and knowledgeable care provider that makes a genuine effort to listen to her patients and their needs. She helped me build confidence in my abilities, motivated me, and inspired me to keep moving forward. After a few months, as I started to improve, I integrated into their Bridge program, which added support from an exercise specialist (ES) on top of my PT appointments. As the name would suggest, this program was the bridge that allowed me to graduate out of PT while still having regular support with exercise, as well as an accountability partner. It meant that when I didn't need PT anymore, I didn't stop making progress - I still had the support I needed. I met with an ES twice a week who took me through a variety of workouts, helping me build strength and showing me how to add exercise into my week in a way that worked for me. After Bridge, In December of 2023, I moved into their Lifestyle 365 program. Admittedly, I was most nervous about this transition. In this program, you're still meeting with an ES, but now they're building workouts for you to do on your own time. I was nervous about, what felt like, losing my accountability partner - about whether I'd still keep showing up if I knew there wasn't someone there waiting for me to arrive. In the end, what it's actually done is give me a lot more flexibility, while still having a support system to lean on when I need it. This process, moving between each program based on where I was at in my journey, has taught me how to love moving my body for the first time in my 35 years of life. I no longer drag my feet or have to spend time convincing myself to go to the gym - it's a part of my routine that I've learned to enjoy. Overall, there are a lot of things that set this place apart; it is not your typical gym experience. Anyone who has lived their life in a bigger body knows the hesitations that can come with going to the gym or doing any sort of physical activity in a public space; the fear of judgement, the cruelty people can carelessly dole out, and the shame of feeling like you don't belong. And although I was sitting with all those fears, I've never had those experiences at Lifestyle Medicine. Each person you encounter is not just someone who is passionate about health and fitness - they're specialized healthcare professionals who truly want to help you find the right solution for your specific health needs. They listen, they care, and they're excellent at what they do. I'll also note that one of my biggest hesitations about working with an ES in these programs was that the majority of the current care providers in this role are young, active, and male - a demographic that does not always inspire comfort for younger women in bigger bodies seeking support in the fitness realm. And though I work with Graham out of their Maple Valley clinic, I've had an opportunity to meet each of the specialists at their three locations and they're all genuinely wonderful people that help you find the things that work for you, encourage you along the way, and make you part of a community that inspires hope. I'm genuinely not sure I'll ever stop being grateful for how Morgan, Graham, and the Lifestyle 365 program have changed my life. It's been over 8 months of consistency and I've never felt better, more capable, or more excited about the future of my health and well-being. Thank you to everyone at Lifestyle Medicine for all you do to empowe“

“I experienced the best care over the past 15 months at PNW Sports Institute in Covington from Adam, and support from Dani and Marc. They were extremely thorough, kind, and patient with all my questions and two set backs. Adam was in great communication with my surgeon and advocated on my behalf to get a faster surgery date scheduled. Adam is super approachable and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to recovery time, strength exercises and possible risks. While managing to come back to walking and working out, they were advocates in my corner and I owe them a lot of praise for their encouragement and kind candor throughout the process!“

“I have had severe lumbar spine issues for almost 10 years now. I cannot tell you how many physical therapists I have seen over the years and it was always a waste of my time and money. I had surgery on my back last year even and still have issues. Kinetic Sports and Physical Therapy with Dr. Ramos is the most effective treatment over the last 10 years. It’s MIND BLOWING! I highly recommend this place. I’ve also been able to reduce my use of pain killers because of the good outcome from coming here. Don’t go anywhere else… go here!!!!“

“Everyone from the front desk staff to the therapists and the manager are top-notch professionals that are so friendly and compassionate and simply amazing human beings. I was wheel-chair bound for 5 years and then had 2 knee replacement surgeries over the past year and the kind people at Olympic Sports & Spine in Covington, WA were absolutely crucial to my recovery. The amazing staff were able to coordinate my therapy appointments with my mother's appointments (yep, she had PT, too) and resolve issues with my difficult insurance company. And it's so nice to go to a place where people say hello with a smile and know your name. I had the privilege to work with several physical therapists and even the manager. When I went to PT after my first knee replacement, my non-surgical knee wouldn't bend. So the therapists would sit on the floor while I was on the bike and would pedal one side of the bike with their hands so that I could pedal the other side with my surgical leg. They adapted exercises and came up with creative treatments for my surgical leg because my non-surgical leg couldn't bend at all. When I went back to them after my second knee replacement, they helped me achieve range of motion on both of my knees that exceeded my surgeon's expectations. I will be forever grateful to this wonderful group of people who not only helped me walk again but also gave me hope and kept me encouraged the entire way.“
