I think the place is permanently closed. I drove by today and didn't even see the building there. Sad - because it was a historical spot. I got my haircut there once, way back in 1992, when I would help my mom at the Video Factory across the street. I remember when I came back, our coworker said I looked like Friar Tuck. Whether that's good or bad - I'll leave it up to you.
RIP Smitty's
It's under new owners, but the same staff. Been getting my haircut there since the late 70's. It's a horrible place, cause I don't want it to be to busy. ? I have read the reviews and new owners return comments. With that said, thank you for keeping it open! March 21st 2024
I've gotten my haircut here many many times over the years. It was $5.50 for the longest time. I noticed one day that the sign outside was different with prices, and they were a bit more than what I thought I was paying. I asked the gall inside how much it was and she said what did you? What did I charge you? Last time I told her I gave her $7 which included the tip, and she said 7 or $8 is fine. The price on the sign said $12. Now he's given extra dollar or two for a tip cuz I do a great job
