The most important part of your relationship with a mechanic is trust: trust that the mechanic is not a crook and they will do their best work on your vehicle. You can trust the owner here. He knows the laws that protect you as the consumer, he follows them, and he works with you to meet your goals. And you can expect quality work here! My only complaint is that at the time that my vehicle was here, they seemed to have trouble meeting deadlines. I imagine that varies with the season though.
Honestly, my expectations were exceeded here. I am the (fairly recent) owner of a pristine 1972 Chevy C20 Highlander pickup, and it's my baby. I was looking for a mechanic that could install an after-market stereo for me (one that was built to identically resemble the original stereo, as I didn't want to make any holes/cut into the dash or alter the vehicle beyond what was absolutely necessary) and take care of a few other things -- new dashpad, new grill emblem, new truck bed liner. Sean took care of EVERYTHING, providing me with detailed information before, during, and after. This is a guy who is deeply passionate about classic cars, understands customers, and is just all-around delightful to work with. Bonus points because he was dealing with an office/shop move (which we all know has got to be a massive pain in the butt) while still trying to support customers. AND this shop does both body work and engine work. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found my new mechanic, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for your classic/vintage vehicles. Seriously a great experience.
