From the perspective of a husband and a father, Northshore midwives has been a great experience. From prenatal care to postnatal, this is a group of midwives who really care and make having children a special thing. After going to 2 different OBs, my wife decided she wanted to do a home birth and have midwives. I didn’t think much about it but after our first visit, I knew that this the best path for us. I'm leaving this review as a husband & father, who was at 1st skeptical when my wife said she wanted to consider a midwife rather than at a traditional hospital for our son's birth. We were lucky enough to have midwife Amanda deliver both of our babies. She helped us grieve the loss of our 1st pregnancy and guided us through our subsequent successful pregnancies. We couldn't be more grateful. The team at Northshore was nothing short of amazing & I now have the utmost respect and confidence in using a midwife. We followed Amanda to Northshore from another clinic at the end of our last pregnancy and although I would have followed her to the moon, I am very thankful that the clinic was as solid as she is. We have been with Amanda for 2.5 years, spanning through three pregnancies now (one that ended prematurely and two that ended with live births) and she is a literal angel! She has always been so caring and attentive to our needs and the plan we set in place. She helped us to navigate the pain and grief of our loss and helped us navigate the emotional unease of back to back pregnancies after a traumatic loss.
